Donna D. Poduska, MS, RN, NE-BC, NEA-BC, ACHE

Donna D. Poduska is the Chief Nursing Officer at Poudre Valley Hospital; an ANCC Magnet designated facility, Malcolm Baldrige Recipient, NDNQI Quality Award Recipient and a Top 100 Hospital located in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Donna has been at Poudre Valley Hospital for 47 years.  During her tenure at PVH she has held positions which have included Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Head Nurse, Director, Vice-President/Chief Nursing Officer.

Donna has a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and a BSN from Montana State University.  She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Colorado Nurses Association, Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders, Sigma Theta Tau, ACHE, and the Association of Nurse Executives. She has held the position of Region 8 Director for AONE, sat on the AHA Regional Policy Board and on the AHA Solutions Board of Directors. She also served two terms on the AONE Nominating Committee. Donna has been chair and a member of many national committees including AONE Publications, Geriatric, Patient Safety and Education, and Magnet and NDNQI conference planning.

Donna is now President of the Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders. She has been a Magnet Program Appraiser since 2000.

Craig Luzinski DSL, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE

Craig Luzinski, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer, at Longmont United Hospital has over 35 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining Longmont United Hospital, Dr. Luzinski served as the Vice President of Performance Optimization for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While there, Dr. Luzinski led the assessment, design, re-design, development, and implementation of numerous programs and processes, enhancing the organization-wide infrastructure in support of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s goal of becoming a High Reliability Organization (HRO). Positions Dr. Luzinski has previously held include Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning at Creative Health Care Management; Director of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program; and Chief Nursing Officer at Poudre Valley Hospital, located in Fort Collins Colorado.

Dr. Luzinski earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. He received his Masters of Nursing Administration with honors from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and earned a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Dr. Luzinski is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives and Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders. He certified as a Black Belt in Lean and Six Sigma.

Maude Becker, MSN, RN

Maude is the Manager for Education & Professional Development at the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH). Her professional career has included working at a small community hospital in Texas as well as the University of Iowa prior to coming to Colorado 25 years ago. While at the University of Iowa she was an inpatient Oncology nurse and fell in love with the Oncology population.

When she moved to Colorado she chose to transition to the ambulatory care setting. She began working for UCH at that time in the Melanoma Clinic and Outpatient Chemo Infusion. She was instrumental in the growth and design of the Melanoma research clinic. She has traveled nationally and internationally to speak to nurses on novel treatments and side effect management for melanoma patients. She took an active role in the Metro Denver Oncology Nursing Society (MDONS), serving on the board for over 10 years in a variety of roles including President of MDONS. She has been published in peer reviewed journals as well as writing a chapter for Oncology Nursing Secrets on Malignant Melanoma.

In her current role as Manager of Education and Professional Development, she serves on many committees, is working to bring new care models to ambulatory services and has oversight to align education and professional development with organizational goals.

Jessie Willard, RN, MSN, CENP, NDF

Jessie is currently the VP/CNO at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies.  Jessie has been an employee of UCHealth for 15 years and his previous roles include bedside nursing, Nurse Manager of multiple ICU’s and Director of Critical Care Services at Medical Center of the Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital. He holds a Master’s Degree in Informatics and Health System Leadership and is Certified in Executive Nurse Practice.

Kari Waterman, MS, CNS, RN-BC, NEA-BC

Kari Waterman is the Manager of Clinical Education and Professional Development for UCHealth-University of Colorado Hospital. She leads a team of Educators and Clinical Nurse Specialists, assuring professional development activities are aligned with organizational objectives. Kari She is certified in Nursing Professional Development and Nurse Executive-Advanced. Kari holds a MS in Nursing Education and is a licensed Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Nicole Stafford, MBA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC

Nicole Stafford has been in nursing leadership for ten years.  She has moved through the ranks of staff nurse to Charge Nurse to Nurse Manager of a busy Level One, Safety Net, Teaching, Trauma, Surgical Intensive Care Unit for five years to Nursing Director at Denver Health for the last five years.  Nicole has been the Nursing Director of Critical Care for three years, also serving as Interim Director for Maternal Child Health for one year. She is now the Nursing Director of Perioperative services and has been in that role for the past two years.  She is a past-member of the board of AACN, a CONL Director at Large, and a member of AORN.  She is also Board Chair of a 501 (c)(3) charity organization called “Haiti Mama”.  Nicole has two sons and a very supportive husband whom she appreciates dearly.

Kathy Gover, MSN, RN, CSSM, CNOR

Kathy has 21 years of nursing experience including 20 years in peri-operative services. During the last 17 years, Kathy has held various Manager and Director level position in peri-Operative Services. Kathy seeks to inspire and empower health care workers to use their skills and reach their potential while achieving high quality patient care. She is a lifelong learner. She is a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 7. In her free time, Kathy loves riding her horses, and hiking and traveling with her husband.

Michelle (Mimi) Ryan, MS, RN, NE-BC

Mimi Ryan MSN, RN, NE-BC has been a nurse for 20 years and has been in progressive leadership positions since 2002. She currently leads the Magnet and Graduate Nurse Residency Programs at Denver Health. She has her Masters of Science in Nursing Leadership and is a, ANCC board certified Nurse Executive.

Caleb Dettmann, MSN, RN, NE-BC

Following graduation in 2009 from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Caleb moved to Colorado and accepted a New Graduate RN position in the NICU at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO). In 2013 following the completion of his Masters of Science in Nursing from Regis University, Caleb accepted the position of Clinical Policy Compliance Specialist at CHCO.  Enjoying two years of partnering with Practice Specialists and leaders across the organization to continue aligning and standardizing clinical practice, Caleb moved to Ambulatory Care Services as a Clinical Manager.  Still in this role, Caleb has enjoyed leading over 15 clinical practices while continuing to focus on Care Coordination needs of patient care delivery as well as specialization of various nursing practices.
